SMHS
Homecoming and 8th Grade Band Night is this
Friday, October 7th!!
Our 8th
grade band members have the opportunity to
join with Starrs Mill's band and play
alongside them at the game . . . what a
great opportunity to bridge from middle
school band to marching band!!
The
logistics for the night include:
- One time
practice session with the high school ~
Thursday, October 6, after our symphonic
band practice ~ in the high school band room
from 4:45 - 5:30
- RSMS 8th
grade band students will be tailgating with
the SMHS band on Friday night ~
approximately 5:30 in the high school
cafeteria
- RSMS 8th
grade band members are to wear their black
band shirt and khaki bottoms
- RSMS 8th
graders will march into the stadium with the
HS band, go into the stands and wait while
the high school band goes out of the stands
and onto the field to play the banner. Then
the HS band will rejoin our kids in the
stands to play stand tunes together

- The game
should be over around 10:30.
Students can be picked up at the stands or
from the RS band room ~ all students MUST be
signed out in order to be released. NO
EARLY RELEASES . . . pick up time is at the
end of the game.
